Organizers of the Event

GoBlock USA and GigLabs are Atlanta blockchain companies that are using games to “play” with blockchain technology, and develop future real world applications.  They will facilitate this session, and demo their games PickFlix and Caesar's Triumph.

About the Session

Throughout history, we have used games to learn, perfect, and entertain.  Games improve our strategic thinking (think chess), educate us on human behavior (think economic Game Theory), and prepare us for reality (think military war games).  In this new era of the blockchain, games are doing the same.  Many of the blockchain applications outside of finance are games.  We are using games to learn and prepare for the many future uses of the technology.

This session will discuss the fundamentals of blockchain games, user interactions, and demo two of the games developed by local Atlanta companies.  A panel question and answer session will explore how we can take the lessons learned in gaming, and apply them to real life uses cases for blockchain.

This session is designed for those just beginning in blockchain, and for those experts wanting to explore future use cases from games
